City dwellers are so used to the benefits of civilization that even in their suburban areas they try to create comfortable conditions. An outdoor wash basin for a summer residence is one of these: a minimum set of amenities on the site is simply necessary, because you have to wash your hands quite often. Furnished near the house and a beautifully designed washbasin will undoubtedly add comfort to living and will complement the design of the site.

What washbasin designs exist?

There are several varieties of washbasins: with and without cabinets, hanging containers and structures on racks.

The simplest model of the washbasin is a three to four liter capacity, made of plastic or aluminum, with a lid and a pressure spout

The back wall of the washbasin in the picture above is equipped with a special mount, for which you can hang the container on a nail driven into a wooden upright. Water is poured into the tank, covered with a lid and a bucket is placed under it to collect the used water. Water is poured into it as it is used. The upper wall of the lid of the washbasin has a slightly concave corrugated surface, so that it can be used as a soap dish.

Overhead washbasins with a pressure tap equipped with a magnet that locks it in a raised position are a more advanced version of the simplest model

Some models are equipped with a valve, thanks to which it is also convenient to regulate the flow of water. A rectangular fifteen-liter plastic container is mounted on a cabinet with a sink, under which a bucket for collecting water is substituted.

Often you can find on sale and washbasins on the counter. Leg-mounted portable washbasins can be placed anywhere on the site

Due to the presence of special horns on the racks of the structure, the washbasin is firmly installed on the ground in a garden or vegetable garden, slightly deepening it.

The wash basin "moydodyr" is convenient primarily because the design sink can be used as a container for washing fruits, vegetables, dishes. Some models include hooks for towels, shelves for soap accessories and even small mirrors. Washbasins made of plastic or metal are designed for installation in open areas. Wooden washbasins equipped with a water heating system are more suitable for indoor installation.

Washbasins with a cabinet are stationary structures, the main elements of which are: a filling tank, a sink and a cabinet

The simplest washbasin made of plastic bottles

You can provide yourself with a minimum set of amenities and make the simplest version of the washbasin from a plastic bottle.

As a container, it is best to use a bottle of 2-5 liters. Thanks to the transparency of the plastic, it is convenient to control the volume of water in the tank

The first step is to cut the bottom of the plastic bottle. To fix the bottle itself on a pillar, grape arch or any stand with clamps or wire.

The bottle cap can simply be left in its original form, or you can upgrade it by performing several punctures in it or adding a clamping spout made of a screw or nail

The washbasin is ready: it only remains to fill the tank, slightly open the lid and use it for its intended purpose. You can watch a video with an example of manufacturing a similar option:

Another original device:

Convenient portable washbasin with faucet can be built from a five-liter plastic canister, barrel or can. To manufacture a functional fixture, plumbing accessories will also be required:

  • water tap;
  • clamping nuts;
  • driving;
  • two gaskets.

In the selected container, you need to drill or cut a hole of the required diameter.

The squeegee is installed in the opening of the container, on both sides put gaskets on it and clamp it with nuts. It remains only to attach a tap to the discharge and pour it into the water tank

When equipping a wash basin, it is desirable to provide a drainage system that discharges waste water into the cesspool. For lack of the ability to equip the drainage system, you can simply use the container to collect dirty water.

It is possible to place the washbasin above the ground, covered with a layer of gravel, which will act as a drainage and prevent the occurrence of dirt near the washbasin.

Wooden moydodyr in the home

For the manufacture of a more complex stationary structure, which will be not only functional, but also a decorative element of the site, boards 25x150 mm are needed. The dimensions of the structure depend on the dimensions of the water tank and the preferences of the owners.

In vertical blanks, eyelets are made for arranging the spikes. For this, grooves are cut with a mill depth of 20 mm and a width of 8 mm. At the ends of the horizontal blanks, spikes are cut using a circular

All washbasin blanks are assembled into a single piece and connected using self-tapping screws.

On the inner sides of the lower part of the structure, a base is prepared where plywood sheets will be installed. Sheets can be put on glue, or fixed with small cloves

A tank is placed between the side walls of the upper part of the structure. The washbasin floor is laid out from 20x45 mm battens. The walls of the upper part are fixed with self-tapping screws, so that in case the tank leaks, it can always be removed. The principle of manufacturing the construction door is quite simple: a plywood sheet is glued to the frame, the planks of which are interconnected by means of a spike groove. A lock with a handle is installed on the door frame.

The washbasin is ready. It remains only to carefully grind the product, paint, and then install the sink
